What:

After a short break this year, our popular event for Sussex women in business, Talks at Dinner is back!

Talks at Dinner is a thought provoking evening of short talks and food, designed to bring together members and non-members of Co-Women for networking and connection.

Each event has theme, on this occasion the theme is "Strength" There are three guest speakers to inspire you with personal experience stories on what Strength means to them.

Our Speakers:

Alice Caldecott, Fundraising Manager for Team Domenica: Beyond ‘strong’: The strengths of young people with learning disabilities in the workplace.

Alice will talk about one young person with learning difficulties' inspiring journey of accessing the workplace with the help and guidance from local Brighton charity Team Domenica, and will share her own journey as a valued employee of the charity.

Becky Hughes, Personal Fitness Trainer: Strength is a verb.

Becky gives a talk on strength which goes beyond what you might expect from a personal trainer. As an author and advocate, Becky has spent her life to date learning that strength is far more than what you can pick up and put down again, nor is it simply about getting through the day or week. In this talk, Becky shares why she thinks that strength is something that you change and develop, rather than something you acquire.

Stephanie Crechriou, City and Guilds Felt Artist and founder of Felt a Fanny: Utilising art to empower women to feel strong and confident about their bodies.

Stephanie's groundbreaking creative workshops, aptly named Felt a Fanny, have become not only a therapeutic and light humoured space to created felt vulva shapes, they have encouraged women to open up and discuss body confidence in the safety and comfort of others. Stephanie shares with us her journey to providing these healing events.
