Spring networking events with Co-Women

Now that the clocks have gone forward and the evenings are lighter, are you feeling in the mood to amp up your social life? Co-Women offers the environment to go out, have a good time, and try new things, as well as learn from other local businesswomen and promote your female-owned business. Read on to find out more about the events we’re most excited to have you join us at…

Warrior Women at The Old Market, Sunday 2nd April This event is a continuation of our partnership with The Old Market, and is part of their Reigning Women season. The show is an exploration of how female protest shapes our world – we love a good riot here at Co-Women, so this sounds right up our street! This theatre show is youth-led, meaning that younger people have the chance to engage with the creative process whilst presenting their view of the past, present and future. Make sure you get in quick as bookings close for this one very soon.

Tea and Tarot at Metrodeco, Thursday 13th April If you’re anything like us, you’ll have a curiosity about anything that a lot of people might describe as “woo”. We’re not saying that we absolutely live and die by the stars and whichever way they align, but ask someone in the group what their Moon and Rising signs are and there’s a strong chance they’ll know! Tarot is well along this line of thinking, and so if you’ve ever wondered what the cards might deal for you, join us for this 2.5 hour evening experience to find out more and receive a personalised reading. All we ask is that you bring an open mind…

Axe Throwing with the Bearded Axe Brothers, Saturday 13th May Proving that fortune favours the bold, yes we absolutely are happy to give you a sharp object and instruct you to throw it! This event has just launched and been confirmed, so full details will be provided in due course, however we suspect you know what to expect: training will be given and we’re sure that a few competitive sides will be revealed when we line up to face a target and see who has the best aim. It’s all in the spirit of fun though – you may even discover a talent you didn’t know you had. If nothing else, there will be an opportunity to take out some frustration you might’ve been holding and let your mind focus completely on the task at hand.

Those are just a few of our upcoming highlights – we hold events weekly, so there are more still to be announced, despite the huge number of Bank Holidays which are fast approaching. Non-members are happily welcomed at one event before membership is required, but if you’re already certain that we’re the group for you, why not jump in and sign up to be part of the group as well as booking in for our exciting programme of events?!

If you’re a woman in business who’s looking to expand her circle and have fun in the process, come and join us. We offer promotion via our social media and blog as part of your membership, plus a thriving WhatsApp group where you can seek recommendations, share thoughts and ideas, or just ask what we’re all watching on Netflix. We also gladly look into events and activities you’re keen on, so if there’s something you’d like to try, or somewhere you really think we should visit, please let us know and we’ll do our best to fit it into the calendar. What are you waiting for?!
