Our Speakers:
Sally Garozzo - The Medicine Inside The Midlife Crisis.
Sally Garozzo is a Clinical Hypnotherapist who works with many people going through a midlife crisis. When we think of a midlife crisis, we usually think of someone learning to ride a motorbike at 50, or someone going off to have an affair, and we don't often think of it as a time of deep metamorphosis, catapulting us into a fresh start with a new identity. In this talk Sally will talk about her own personal midlife crisis and the medicine that she received from it.
Sophie Sheinwald - Feeling Naked in Front of the Camera
Feeling naked is what it can be like as you bear your soul to the camera for a photo session. Over the years I've noticed this far more in women, especially those in charge of their business. For many of those years, I had side-stepped the discomfort and when I joined Co-Women I decided to explore the 'why' by asking questions to ten different entrepreneurs. Â Why does the camera have this power to get in the way of being ourselves? It was a question I pondered on a lot throughout my own journey and so I spent time looking into how this affected all women and in this talk I'll share what I discovered.Â
Alice Clover - Letting Go
When I first wanted to write I kept making excuses, particularly because I am not an illustrator and my books are picture books. One day a friend of mine mentioned that her sister in law is an amazing illustrator, so gave me her number. It took me a month to build up the courage to contact Cheryl, largely because I didn’t have any spare funds to pay for her to illustrate my book, but also because I felt so nervous. Once I did, I explained my financial situation but she asked for the story anyway. She agreed to be my illustrator and split any profit 50/50, which was the perfect solution. This was my turning point and one that has bought me to where I am today. Needless to say, we have worked on three books together now and one, Girls Love to Fart, has been a best seller.
