Cecilia Harvey
Founder & Director
Cultural Nexus Ltd.
Hello! I'm a quadrilingual social anthropologist and cultural strategist, passionate about creating workplace ecosystems that celebrate all humans and foster authentic connections.
Adopted at two months old into a white Anglo-Italian family in Rome, I learned that when we stop fearing "the other" and embrace our differences, they don’t divide us—they enrich us, creating a more vibrant collective story. Discovering more about my Mauritian and Sri Lankan heritage has further deepened my understanding of identity and belonging, shaping my approach to diversity and inclusion.
At Cultural Nexus, I work with organisations of all sizes, from charities and not-for-profits to large multinationals. My expertise as an accredited facilitator in Cultural Intelligence (CQ®) and my partnership with The GC Index® enable me to design bespoke workshops, strategic advisory services, and resilient training programmes. These initiatives help organisations embrace the full spectrum of diversity—from cross-cultural collaboration and multigenerational inclusion to addressing gender identity, LGBTQ+ representation, ethnicity, and disability.
I collaborate with values-driven organisations committed to meaningful change, avoiding tokenism in favour of deep, lasting transformation. My work ensures that diversity, equity, and inclusion are woven into the fabric of organisational culture, rather than just remaining as policy statements.
I co-design learning experiences with leadership teams to embed cultural change into daily interactions. This collaborative approach has led to transformative DEI initiatives across many geographies including Vietnam, France, Italy, UK, South Africa, the United States, and Canada, all focused on fostering human connection and aligning organisational culture with shared values.
My mission is rooted in the belief that when we intentionally design for diversity, we create spaces where people feel genuinely valued and connected to purpose. I pride myself in my work because it goes beyond frameworks and policies—it’s about creating communities where belonging unlocks both individual and collective potential, making space for the unique identities and perspectives of all to be celebrated and valued, equally.
