Hi! I’m Katie, a visual communications expert and founder of CommuniKate Design Limited. I help make information more accessible and inclusive. I had a successful past life/career as a Project Manager, but it wasn't fun or fulfilling for me (nor did it involve enough felt tip pens), so I decided to teach myself the skills to deliver the services I do now. Cut to 5+ years later, and I've had the joy of helping dozens of organisations transform their written and complex information into more accessible and inclusive bespoke 2D animations, infographics, graphic designs, illustrations, simplified written copy and live graphic recordings.

I love working with people to share their messages authentically and with compassion, and helping with any kind of problem-solving. Ideally, fuelled by coffee and cake. I’m equally passionate about increasing inclusion and representation for people from marginalised groups, and using my privilege and skills to ensure everyone can access the things they need.

I've lived in Brighton for 18+ years, and I'm always happy to help with local recommendations for food and fun things. I've found my (second) calling in life as a Fun Aunt to several tiny people, and try to channel the same energy (and provision of snacks) into my work. I've been told I'm easy to work with, provide helpful advice and guidance, and incredibly efficient (probably due to doing everything in ADHD hyperspeed).
