Our Speakers:
Alice Dewar-Mills - founder of Looking Glass Solutions.
The Bad News Fairy Finds Her Tribe
Alice is the founder of Looking Glass Solutions, a company providing fractional Commercial Directors to support SMEs through the tricky commercial bits of business - which basically means they help companies with their commercial issues and provide a clear strategy, whether that's for finances, negotiations or disputes. However she's not going to talk about that, she's going to tell you about a story about the bad news fairy, how she realised that that wasn't everything that defined her and how finding her tribe helped her find her vibe.
Bibi Aya - artist and founder of Doodle Cafe
The 'Giving' Identity - Community, boundaries & wellbeing
Bibi is the founder of Doodle Cafe, a workshop space for practising presence and self-care, through mindful, intuitive doodling. She is currently researching deep questions around what motivates people to be in service to others. She doesn't want to know about your ideal client persona, she wants to know about your persona. She begins by asking 'Who am I when I hold space for others, and who am I if I don't?' From her lived experience story of being a carer to a parent, to her full artistic expression as a free spirit, she will plant seeds for your own self-reflection and permission to heal what could drive you to burnout. Can you be a community hero and still be well?
Harriet Dean-Orange - founder and managing director of Harriet's of Hove
The Sustainable Living Hub - building communities
I want to tell you about the different and unexpected communities that have emerged from starting a business and how important it is that these remain growing. Â I believed that creating a shop for people to buy plastic-free would be very transactional. However, I've learned that running a mission based small business, would develop to be far more multi-layered and far more inspirational than I could have imagined.
